Kid's are growing lettuce, chard, broccoli, kale and cauliflower. Garden Coordinator Chris Nakao meets with small groups of students each week and teaches them about the food cycle.
Through hands-on garden classes outside and cooking classes in the multi-purpose room, students are learning healthy eating habits, food science, etiquette, and ecological awareness. Chris and our Chef/Nutritionist Michael Bauce are funded this year by a grant from the California Nutrition Network.
